Family Swimming Pool Admission Policy

A responsible person, aged at least 18 years, must accompany all children under the age of eight and all non-swimmers into the swimming pool. They must go into the water with the child/ren/non-swimmer they are accompanying. While in the pool the responsible person must maintain a constant watch over the child/ren/non-swimmer for whom they are responsible for and be in close contact with those who are weak or non-swimmers.

 

 

Child Admission Criteria

Main part of the swimming pool

Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person on a one-to-one basis.

Children aged between 5 and 7 must be accompanied by a responsible person on a maximum two-to-one basis.

Shallow roped off area


A combination of up to two mixed-aged children under the age of 8 as long as they are wearing suitable armbands and or floatation aids.

 

 

Children who can swim...

A child under the age of 8 years who can demonstrate a swimming ability as defined by management, must still be accompanied by a responsible person, however, would be exempt from the above child admission criteria ratios.
