Indoor Climbing and Outdoor Traverse Walls
Climbing is a great activity, as it uses lots of muscle groups, both in the upper body and lower body, which can ultimately improve stamina, as well as muscle strength.
Our indoor climbing wall is approximately 10m high, with 6 ropes and over 20 routes suitable for both experienced and novice climbers. Whether you are a first-time climber or have climbed many times before, our trained and friendly staff will ensure you have a great time whilst making sure you stay safe.
Outdoors, we also have a traverse wall which is climbed horizontally, not vertically. At 6ft high and 30m across with varying grades from beginner to advanced, this is a great alternative to try if you're wanting to mix up your fitness activities. Never being more than a few feet off the floor means that no ropes or harnesses are needed. Can you make it from one side to the other without falling off?!
Using our Climbing Walls
As a competent climber and Malvern Active member, you can book a 90-minute session on either of our climbing walls at no extra cost.
We also hire the climbing walls for external hires including childrens parties. Minimum numbers apply, please speak to our team for further information.
Become a competent climber
We also offer NICAS climbing courses, enabling you to learn the basics of safe belaying and climbing techniques and consequently enable you man your own climbing sessions.
